Depart Brisbane, Australia

June – November:

Brisbane to Darwin, visiting Queensland coast and Great Barrier Reef. Fine tuning Acrohc’s design; discovering her qualities. Navigating by sight and dead reckoning. Lots of groundings. Love the cruising life. Getting used to being alone.

December:

Complete overhaul and paint job in Darwin. Acquired sextant and 2 books on how to use it. Flew to Brisbane for last farewell with family. Celebrated Christmas in Darwin.
